Photoreceiver
This device is able to detect the amount of produced, consumed and accounted Energy from any meter equipped by an optical output (Red and yellow LED). The Photo-receiver converts light signals of active energy, emitted by the LED on the meter, into pulses. When these pulses have been acquired by the datalogger (X-RWU or X-Meter), it’s possible to monitor the energetic consumption of a plant.
When Cyclops is coupled with X-Meter and XM3, a set of 3 TA transformers or Rogowsky and Voltmetric probes, it can also read pulses coming from bidirectional meters. The accuracy of the measurement is ensured by the fact that the device interfaces with the meters and it acquires the measurement directly from LED, that it is used as metrological reference for calibrating the meter.
The installation of the device is simple, quick and not invasive: you have to apply just a small probe on the meter; this probe is equipped by a photo-receiver and it can be connected to the Cyclops by means of a connector. Cyclops sends the pulses to a X-RWU or a X-Meter equipped by a XM3. Cyclops is recommended in photovoltaic field for reading the LED on the UTF meter remotely read by EMG (Electronic Measurement Group).
